Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Should I choose a flush or an extended set up when reshaping electrodes while on-line?
A: This would depend on the clearance distance between weld faces. A general rule of thumb is to use an extended setup for clearances of 1 1/2" or more, and a flush setup for clearances of 3/4" to 1 1/2".
Q: I am using modified caps that don't match any of your blade profiles. Will I be able to dress these?
A: In addition to our standard blades, we regularly manufacture blades for modified electrode shapes. We are here to help you solve your dressing problems. Please contact us with your requirements.
Q: How often do I need to dress an electrode or cap? How long will each cutter last?
A: This is one of our most frequent questions. Unfortunately, there isn't an exact number or time frame. It all depends on usage.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes, we accept all major credit cards. Please note that there will be a 3% credit card processing fee added to your order.
Q: Do you have a minimum order requirement?
A: Yes. We have a $40.00 minimum, excluding shipping costs.
Q: Can I order your products through a local distributor in the US?
A: Yes. Please contact us and we will be happy to refer you to one of our distributors.
Q: Are you able to resharpen my used cutters?
A: Due to increased costs and production time, we no longer accept orders for resharps.
